Large Animal & Equine Program

Wednesday 5th December 2012 - Farm Animal Clinical evening, Winchester

A Festive double-invite for December 5th, with a Farm Animal Clinical evening in Winchester and a Small Animal Clinical evening in Bicester. Despite this clash of events we’re hopefully targeting different audiences. Although there is a clinical component to the evening meetings, both events provide a great opportunity to meet likeminded colleagues - and we provide a buffet! We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible!

25th July 2011 PUB CPD

Details on the Revised Pre Purchase Examination Certificate and the New Pre-Purchase Examination Guidance Notes

We are delighted to invite you to our second "PUB CPD" meeting at The Castle Pub, Donnington, Newbury, RG14 3AA.

Thanks to RCVA for their support.

Our speakers on this occasion are Malcolm Morley BVSc MRCVS who has been busy liasing with the RCVS and BEVA on the new pre purchase guidelines and has kindly agreed to share his pint of view!! Furthermore Charlie Schreiber BVet Med MRCVS will discuss those vetting nightmares which would be enough to drive a vet to the drink!!

The purpose of "Pub CPD" is to offer FREE HIGH QUALITY CPD to the equine vets of Berkshire and the surrounding counties.  It is hoped to be an informal meeting and serve as a relaxing end to the day.

It is envisaged that the "Pub CPD" meetings will be structured around a specific topic (i.e. respiratory problems, gastrointestinal diseases, orthopaedics, etc.), which will include two main speakers presentations followed by a ‘Pub’ discussion.

The "Pub" discussion would be an opportunity to include a short clinical case presentation on Power Point or Key note which you have experienced in practice - The material should be submitted in advance to bryan.omeara@donningtongrove.com or emiliano.espinar@donningtongrove.com - Everyone has a vetting nightmare - please share with us at this help group for Pre Purchase vets!!

This is the equivalent of 2 hours CPD time, for your RCVS CPD card record.

The Castle Pub offers good pub food (They accept orders over the phone for food - 01635 40615 if you would like to have dinner before, after or during the evenings discussion).

If you are interested, there are several ways you  could register:

  1. Using our online registration link (includes an opportunity to vote for the next topic).
  2. If you are not computer friendly, just book it through our main office number 0163539039

We look forward to seeing you!!!
